Over 75 local professionals will be employed to complete a fiber network project in Flagstaff on behalf of ALLO Fiber.

The Nebraska-based internet service provider (ISP) announced the news in December, along with news of their planned fiber build in Boulder, Colorado.

According to ALLO Fiber, in addition to the 75 local professionals employed on the Flagstaff project, hundreds more will be involved in construction.

ALLO’s GM of Arizona operations, Mike Horton, said ALLO is excited to begin construction in Flagstaff as the company expands their footprint across Arizona.

“We understand that with continued growth in the region, the value of essential communications infrastructure and advanced technology is an important asset for the city and surrounding communities,” Horton said. “We look forward to offering ALLO Fiber services to Flagstaff and continuing to create local jobs in the process.”

In the past several years, ALLO has been active in Arizona, the ISP’s Dec. 23 release explained.

The company has been undertaking middle-mile broadband projects in Yuma and Mohave counties, and designated Lake Havasu City as ALLO’s first “Arizona Gigabit community” in 2021.

Since then, the company has also rolled out services to customers in KingmanYumaSan LuisSomerton, and Sierra Vista, ALLO’s release stated.

According to ALLO Fiber, services in Flagstaff will include 10 gigabit speeds for residents and up to 100 gigabit speeds for businesses.

“Additionally, Flagstaff residents, businesses of all sizes, and governmental entities will be supported by ALLO’s fiber-rich network, delivering active and passive solutions without installation fees or restrictive contracts,” the ISP’s release stated.
