More than 3,800 homes and businesses in Newport and 2,100 locations in Jackson have gained access to Fidium’s all-fiber network.
Both communities, located in differing counties, saw network construction begin this past winter.
In dual announcements marking the development, Fidium’s senior government relations manager, Jeffrey McIver, said the company has seen how fiber access has transformed communities.
“No matter where you live, access to a quality fiber internet connection is crucial in today’s world,” he said.
McIver added that Fidium’s customers will be able to enjoy “full benefits of streaming, expanding employment opportunities, and participating in the digital economy.”
With the completed work, Jackson joins a long list of other communities in Carroll County with access to Fidium’s services.
In total, over a quarter million residents in New Hampshire have access to Fidium’s network.
The company offers plans as low as $30 a month without contracts, installation fees, or data caps, according to Fidium’s announcement.
