Fiber Fast Homes, a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service provider that operates in 11 states, has announced a change in leadership.
Randy Cosby, the Chief Operating Officer of InfoWest, has been tapped to replace outgoing CEO Scott Sampson.
According to Fast Fiber Home’s release, Cosby co-founded InfoWest 30 years ago.
In the decades since founding the company, InfoWest has expanded their coverage area beyond Cosby’s native Utah.
Now, the company includes select areas of Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado within their footprint, Fast Fiber Homes’ announcement stated.
Like Fiber Fast Homes, InfoWest is a broadband subsidiary of Boston Omaha Corporation, the company’s announcement explained.
“We are very excited for the future of Fiber Fast Homes under Randy’s leadership,” said Max Meisinger, the CEO of Boston Omaha Broadband. “Randy is a skilled executive who has a deep understanding of the innerworkings of Internet service providers. He is well versed in how to grow a business and provide exceptional customer experience. We are excited for Randy in his new role.”
Sampson, the company’s outgoing CEO, said leaving Fiber Fast Homes is bittersweet.
“I am incredibly proud of what this team has built over the years,” he said.
Earlier this year, Sampson joined the Beyond the Cable podcast as a guest. At the time, he said any of the company’s customers are gained through bulk deals with developers and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) owners.
“I know Fiber Fast Homes is in great hands under Randy’s leadership and he will do amazing things going forward and I am excited for him and the future,” Sampson added, in comments included with the release announcing his departure.
According to the release, Cosby will maintain his position as EVPt at InfoWest while leading the expansion of Fiber Fast Homes as CEO.
