Neighborhoods in two Arkansas communities will benefit from two multimillion-dollar projects that Ritter Communications announced will expand the company’s RightFiber services.
Two fiber-to-the-home projects with a combined price tag of $4.3 million will deliver fiber-optic services to residents and businesses in Russellville, home to Arkansas Tech University, and neighborhoods in nearby Morrilton.
Ritter Communications, the provider behind the projects, announced that the projects, due to be completed early this year, will provide residents and businesses with speeds that reach five gigabits.
The mayors of Russellville and Morrilton both commented on the investments from Arkansas-based Ritter Communications, according to the company’s Jan. 16 announcement.
Morrilton Mayor Allen Lipsmeyer said Morrilton is a community that has increased what it has to offer.
“This investment by Ritter Communications offers current and potential residents the broadband services they need to call our community home,” he said.
Fred Teague, the mayor of Russellville, said his community has experienced growth and is poised to see more in the future.
“High-speed, reliable internet is something that will continue moving us forward and this investment by Ritter Communications provides just that,” he said.
The projects will bring Ritter Communications’ RightFiber services to both communities, according to Ritter Communications CEO Alan Morse. He said Ritter Communications has been offering RightFiber to new communities on a monthly basis.
“The services we bring are an affordable, high-quality option that brings new opportunities for families to flourish in today’s digital world,” he said.
