Clearwave Fiber has begun construction to extend its 100% fiber-optic network into Marietta, Georgia, and nearby parts of Cobb County, the company announced.
The rollout will cover neighborhoods including Fair Oaks, West Marietta, and East Cobb, according to Clearwave Fiber.
The company says the expansion will make multi-gigabit service available to homes and businesses, offering speeds up to 10 Gbps.
Clearwave, in a recent announcement, also highlighted benefits such as smoother streaming, improved support for remote work and online learning, and better performance for smart-home devices, attributing these to its “advanced infrastructure and local customer care.”
“Expanding into Marietta reflects our mission to close the digital divide and deliver world-class Internet where it’s needed most,” said Charles Lawrence, president of Clearwave Fiber’s residential segment.
He also added the company is “proud to provide future-ready connectivity that helps residents and businesses thrive in today’s connected world.”
Clearwave said it is coordinating with Cobb County officials and will use a local team to oversee construction, maintain the network, and handle customer service. The company emphasized that its fully symmetrical upload and download service will offer “superior reliability and speed” compared with traditional cable or DSL connections.
Construction is already under way, and the company expects the first residential and commercial customers to go online early this year.
