Existing wealth disparities motivated Centranet’s recent accomplishment with tribal connectivity in Oklahoma, according to Sachin Gupta.
In the latest episode of Beyond the Cable, we caught up with Sachin Gupta, of Centranet, to discuss the company’s milestone with tribal connectivity in Oklahoma.
Recently, Centranet provided one of the fastest connections globally to a pilot member of the Sac and Fox Nation.
When it was announced, Nokia called the achievement the first live commercial trial of 50G PON technology in a tribal nation.
Gupta discussed the achievement in March at Connected America 2025 in Dallas.
According to Gupta, Centranet wants to build digital infrastructure within tribal lands “so that tribal members have access to resources.”
Using the teach a man to fish metaphor, he said Centranet was providing the resources to help tribal members “catch that fish.”
