Have you enjoyed the coverage from Broadband Communities? Then check out our new podcast, titled “Beyond the Cable.”
Broadband Communities is dedicated to covering the rollout of broadband in the United States, and how it’s changing lives. Recently, we’ve released a new podcast to break down the latest headlines and provide you with personal stories about how broadband connectivity is changing America.
Our first episode, which can be found here on Spotify, includes recent need-to-know happenings in the industry and appearances from guests include Dianne Connery, the director of the Pottsboro Area Public Library, and JJ McGrath, the owner and operator of TekWav. Together, the pair has secured Emergency Connectivity Fund money for the small town of Pottsboro, Texas.
Connery and McGrath talk about how connectivity has changed the tiny town of Pottsboro and share difficulties faced in the process to receive federal funding.
The next episode of “Beyond the Cable” will be released Dec. 20 and features Penn State Professor of Telecommunications Christopher Ali to talk about what’s gone right, and what’s gone wrong in Pennsylvania’s broadband rollout.
