Breezeline unveiled their fastest internet service offering yet as part of their effort to support customers with growing bandwidth demands.

Breezeline announced this week the rollout of a new internet tier offering speeds up to 2.5 gigabits per second, the fastest service the cable operator has marketed to consumers.

The company said the upgrade is aimed at households with heavy bandwidth needs, supporting remote work and learning, 4K or higher video streaming, and online gaming.

The ultra-fast tier is being introduced in select markets across five states: New Hampshire, Maryland, Massachusetts, West Virginia and Virginia.

Breezeline said the plan is available now and can be paired with promotional bundles.

Breezeline, a unit of Canadian cable company Cogeco Communications, is the eighth-largest cable operator in the U.S. and provides services in 13 states.

The company has been expanding its fiber footprint recently; executives framed the 2.5 Gbps offering as part of that broader push to increase capacity and compete on both speed and price.

For consumers, availability will depend on local network upgrades; Breezeline’s new tier is limited to specific markets for now, and customers must check the company’s website for serviceability and bundle options.
