Automation Exchange Infrastructure LLC (AEX), the leading operations support system (OSS) and business support system (BSS) platform powering open and closed access broadband networks across the United States, last week announced the acquisition of Field Squared Inc., a leader in the field services space with many broadband operator clients. This strategic acquisition strengthens AEX’s ability to deliver a unified, end-to-end operating platform for broadband infrastructure providers.
“This is a strategic step forward for AEX and for our customers and we are excited to welcome Christopher’s leadership to the team,” said Stuart van der Veen, Chairman of AEX.

Cornelius Greyling, Chief Product Officer at AEX, added, “By integrating Field Squared’s tools directly into AEX, our clients can now operate faster, smarter, and with greater resilience. From open access providers managing millions of homes to rapidly scaling closed access operators, our customers will now have a single, seamless platform that connects strategy, operations, and execution across the entire business.”
AEX is radically simplifying broadband connectivity by providing operators with access to infrastructure, automation, and expert services that enable rapid deployment, efficient scaling, and competitive operations. The platform is uniquely differentiated by its ability to support both open access networks that manage millions of homes and closed access operators, such as Ripple Fiber and HyperFiber, which are deploying networks at scale and operating with exceptional efficiency.
As part of the transaction, Christopher James Camut, CEO of Field Squared Inc, will join AEX as President, Software Division. He brings decades of leadership and product experience to the company and will play a central role in advancing AEX’s software capabilities, strengthening delivery for customers and accelerating the growth of the business.
The addition of Field Squared Inc.’s capabilities brings powerful and fully integrated field service management functionality to the AEX ecosystem. This integration will benefit all teams across broadband operators, especially those working in the field. They will now have intuitive tools to schedule, dispatch, track, and optimize network deployment and maintenance in real time.
Ripple Fiber recently acquired HyperFiber, CloudWyze (fiber), and BridgeNET Fiber, creating one of the fastest-growing broadband operators in the country. This integration was powered by AEX’s technology platform, which enables rapid execution, operational alignment, and scalable growth. AEX supports all of the major PON OEMs, and this makes consolidation possible while delivering a consistent experience to subscribers and service agents no matter the equipment.
“We built Field Squared to make life easier for the people doing the real work, the crews and teams out in the field who keep networks running,” said Christopher James Camut, CEO of Field Squared Inc. and incoming President, Software Division at AEX. “Joining AEX allows us to take that mission further and embed our capabilities within an industry-leading platform that is transforming how broadband operators build, manage, and scale their businesses.”
Automation Exchange Infrastructure LLC is positioned to lead the next phase of strategic M&A in the broadband infrastructure software market. Its platform reduces operational risk and enables faster execution.
