Fans attending games at Allegiant Stadium, which recently hosted Superbowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, will enjoy increased network performance thanks to additional multibeam lens antennas recently deployed at the stadium.
MatSing, a company that innovates high-capacity lens antenna technology, announced the deployment and integration of additional lens antennas at Allegiant Stadium days before the venue hosted the Kansas City Chiefs’ thrilling overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers in Superbowl LVIII.
An additional 30 lens antennas were deployed at the stadium, complimenting the original 20 lens antennas that existed previously, according to MatSing’s Feb. 8 announcement.
The additional lens antennas deployed were integrated into the network at Allegiant Stadium by DAS Group Professionals (DGP), MatSing’s release stated. DGP’s president, Steve Dutto, was quoted in MatSing’s announcement.
“MatSing lens antennas ideally serve our needs for a multi-carrier neutral host distributed antenna system (DAS) network at Allegiant Stadium,” Dutto said. “To add to the existing network, a leading carrier required C-Band overlay in the venue and with just 16 MatSing’s multibeam lens antennas we were able to cover the field and stands for C-Band for the carrier.”
Dutto said DGP also deployed 14 MatSing lens antennas to cover several parking lots for all carriers, which were concealed “to enhance the tailgating experience.”
Bo Larsson, MatSing CEO, said MatSing is thrilled to continue working with Allegiant Stadium, which hosts upwards of 65,000 attendees for games and events in Paradise, Nevada.
“Working with DGP, we had a highly successful initial deployment at the venue, and now with this additional deployment we are pleased to provide a multi-band, including C-Band, and multi-carrier connectivity for the fans and patrons both inside and outside the venue,” Larsson said.
