Cyber Park is 330-acre technology park created by the City of Danville and located in the enterprise zone. The park has state-of-the-art infrastructure for unparalleled reliability. It is also home to the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (NASA, Virginia Tech).

IKEA is the world's largest furniture manufacturer. It chose Danville as the home of its first U.S. factory, which uses advanced manufacturing techniques requiring high-bandwidth communications. IKEA is sourced by the industrial group Swedwood.

Located in a former tobacco building, the Noblis Center for Applied High Performance Computing is one of the new high-tech businesses that have relocated to Danville. Its next-generation Cray supercomputer is the only one outside a university or federal government facility.
